About Us
![]() Phil Mastroianni – President / Owner Phil is a second-generation landscape professional. His father instilled many of the virtues that guide him in life and in business: Honesty, Family, and Responsibility. He grew up in Newton and resides there today. He married his wife Debbie shortly after starting the business and they have three children, Phil, Jenna, and Nick. Phil takes great pride in transforming your visions into reality. Arriving to the office each day no later than 5AM, he is the steady force behind the companies success. An avid member of the community, Phil takes great pleasure in operating a small business and giving back what he can. He also enjoys taking the snowmobile up to Maine once in a while. |

![]() David Brown – Construction Supervisor David has been with us since 1998. He is responsible for coordination and day to day oversight of landscape construction projects. Dave is a committed individual and looks after each project as if they were being performed at his own residence. He and his wife Amanda are the proud parents of a twelve year old daughter and six year old son. Amanda actually enjoys fishing so Dave isn’t alone when he goes. Dave is a Steelers fan and we DO hold it against him! |

![]() Mark Young – Plant Health Care Manager Pesticide Lic # 29369 Mark Young, originally from Brookline Ma., joined Phil Mastroianni Corp. in April 2006. He brings 15 years of expertise to the company in the field of Plant Health Care and arborculture. (The staff has nick named him “The Doctor”) He has extensive knowledge of the insect, disease, and cultural problems our landscapes face today, and can communicate issues with you in an effective logical manner. Mark has strong ethical and moral qualities, communication skills, and knowledge of his craft make him an indispensible part of this company. We wish we had found him years ago. When Mark is not surveying properties and providing clients with good advice, you can usually find him at Fenway Park. We are all jealous that he owns Season Tickets. |

![]() Paul Baima – Tree Services Manager Paul has been with us since 1994 and is part of the fabric of the company. He is responsible for the majority of Tree care operations and is your primary contact for that Department. He started in 1994 as a tree-climber and took over the Departments operations in 2000. He has extensive hands on knowledge in safety, electrical hazard awareness, insect and disease issues, tree biology, soil composition, and rigging. He is an avid fisherman, well, was an avid fisherman; he and his wife Luna now have 2 young children. |

![]() Beth Riley – Office Manager Beth is a local girl who left the state for awhile, hence the hint of a southern drawl still! After spending 12 years in Myrtle Beach, Beth came to us in December 2006. We immediately knew she was a perfect fit. She is quick to master new programs and concepts, friendly, and a bit of a workaholic. The phrase “leave it till tomorrow” is not in her lexicon. Her only flaw is that she is easy to rile by simply moving something on her desk slightly askew! Beth is a happily married mother of four (and grandmother of three) and enjoys antiquing, ballroom dancing, and caring for her girls. |

His oldest just graduated from UMASS Dartmouth, and his youngest is attending the school now. John plays street hockey and is an avid Boston Bruins fan. |
