Phil Mastroianni – President / OwnerPhil learned the many values that guide him in life and business from his father. Now, a second generation landscape professional, he transforms visions into reality. Family, honesty and responsibility are the principles that keep him the steady force behind the company’s success. Each morning, Phil is the first person in the office and starts the day by organizing job boards and directing the crews. Throughout the day, he visits each jobsite to ensure client satisfaction and workmanship to achieve beauty and longevity in each landscape project. With over 35 years of experience, Phil is committed to creating landscapes of the highest quality. He is a native of Newton where he and his wife Debbie have three children – Phil, Jenna and Nick. Phil enjoys being an active member of the Newton community and takes great pleasure in operating and growing his family business
Phil R. Mastroianni – Business and Account ManagerPhil graduated from Bentley College in 2005 with a degree in accounting. After spending 4 years at KPMG and earning his certificate of public accountancy, he formally joined the family business in 2009. As the Business Manager, his primary functions are to market and grow the business for the next generation. Phil’s hobbies include making home-made wine and he is a proud board member and active volunteer of Camp-to-Belong Massachusetts, which helps reconnect siblings who have been separated through foster care.
Nick Mastroianni – Construction ManagerThe younger of Phil’s two sons, Nick has spent his entire life working towards joining the family business. After earning his Associates Degree in Landscape Construction from the Stockbridge School of Agriculture, he went on to complete his Bachelor’s Degree in Landscape Architecture from the University of Massachusetts. Since then, Nick has brought his own skills to the company as a member of the project management team, and with the launch of the Irrigation Division in 2010. He also creates renderings and visualizations for projects where clients do not have a landscape architect. Some of Nick’s interests outside of the office are running, skiing and grilling on his smoker.
Ellen Menounos – Horticulturist/Project Manager
In July of 2012, Ellen joined the team as a Project Coordinator. She graduated from the University of Georgia and then went on to earn a Certificate in Planting Design from the Boston Architectural College. Knowledgeable and detail oriented, Ellen enjoys educating the customer about plants here in New England. She has created the reputation for being the go to person for plant related information and has developed relationships with many local nurseries to provide clients with the best options for their project. Each project finds Ellen’s interest in the favor of the client and plant life.
Ty Miller – Estimator/Project ManagerTy is a very positive and energetic person who transfers that energy to the workplace. As a Project Manager an Estimator, he reviews architectural plans, completes estimates and is a point of contact for clients during a project. He completed his studies at Wentworth Institute of Technology and developed his construction management skills when he began his professional career working for well-known general contractor. Ty has a multitude of hobbies, some of which include graphic design, cooking, and recreational sports.
Alex Quebec – Sr. Project SupervisorAlex joined the company in 2004 after graduating from Boston College. He quickly became a key player with the Landscape Construction Division. His attention to detail ensures each landscape he touches is built to the exact specifications provided by the architectural plans. Alex’s field expertise makes him a decision maker and a great asset to the team.
Anthony Brow – Sr. Project SupervisorAnthony has earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Landscape Architecture from the University of Massachusetts, with an Associate’s Degree in Landscape Contracting from the Stockbridge School of Agriculture. Anthony knows how to find a solution, even for the most difficult situations. He is not shy when it comes to making sure landscapes are properly and accurately built. He is enthusiastic about his profession and is always looking to gain another industry license. Anthony also enjoys trying his hand with other trades and has many DIY projects that he takes up in his free time.
Sean Durkin – Project SupervisorSean originally joined the company as a member of the Irrigation Division. He quickly took on a leadership role, which led to his promotion to Project Supervisor in the Landscape Construction division. Sean is a graduate of the University of Vermont and loves to spend as much time as he can in the Green Mountain state.
John Botelho – Maintenance ManagerJohn has been with the company since 1985 and is the most reliable employee we know. He is a talent when it comes to caring for existing landscapes. Warm, friendly and always smiling, customers always ask for John and his crew year after year. He and his wife Lorena live in Dartmouth, MA where they are the proud parents of two girls.
Beth Riley – Office Manager
Beth joined the PMC team in 2006 and was immediately a perfect fit. She is friendly with a quick response attitude and one of the reasons for smooth operation within the office. Organization is a must and also key for her role with the company. Beth is the “right hand” of the office; she handles everything from keeping the office in order, to running payroll, to assisting other staff. A proud wife, mother and grandmother of six, Beth enjoys taking care of her family, antiquing, ballroom dancing and her work.
